Some artists have made careers out of painting nothing but whales. Like with my painting, Light of the Golden Gate, I took on the challenge of painting a cliche subject in an interesting new way.
noticing how the patterns of spraying water looked almost electrical,
so I emphasized that aspect in this painting. I guess it worked because
I have licensed this image for many different uses including greeting
cards, clothing, jigsaw puzzles, etc.
