ARTIST'S COMMENT

Occasionally, I'd stray from the usual fantastic themes and try something a little more grounded in reality. This was painted from a composite of two different photographs that I took in Paris. My girlfriend at the time and I were living in a flat in the Montmarte district. The actual view from this window was the front of a small art gallery, but I thought that this view of a bronze statue made a more interesting contrast.
